DRUG STORE CHRISTMAS

It was Christmas Eve and I was crying. Hard. The u.s. Navy had moved us thousands of.miles away from our families to the tip of south florida. Not a snowflake in sight, and we were out of money till the next pay check. No gifts.this year. I went into the bedroom, scooped my baby boy out of his crib for a cuddle, and felt profoundly sorry for myself.

Suddenly i sensed an empty hush in our little duplex. Where had my husband gone at this late hour? It wasnt long till i heard the back door open and there he was, a drug store Christmas in his arms. The next thing I knew, I was in his arms.

It was a very merry Christmas.
