TEARS IN HEAVEN

No way! God will wipe away all our tears, right? And yet I hear someone crying. Oh, it’s John!

“I wept and wept because no one was found who was worthy to open the scroll or look inside.” Why was John crying? That scroll contained the Judgment of God that would undo Evil and bring in His Kingdom forever. No more death, no more children crying in the streets, no more injustice. But no one in heaven or in earth was found worthy to open it and bring satan’s kingdom down.

But wait! “ Then one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep! See the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals.” (Rev. 5:4,5). John turns and looks. What does he see? Not a lion, but a lamb – The Lamb of God, slain yet fully alive. John watches in breathless wonder as the Lamb marches up to the Throne and takes that scroll from His Father’s hand. And then, all of Heaven explodes in Praise.

“You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased for God persons from every tribe and language and people and nation. You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign on the earth”.

And we shout with all of Heaven, Hallelujah! God’s Kingdom is coming! Worthy is the Lamb!
